Thank you for sharing you concerns regarding this matter. We understand the issue and the severity of the situation, however the Street Department Staff inspected the location and confirmed the area is maintained by the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District 6- Gallup Patrol. Unfortunately, the City does not maintain this area, nor does the City receive funding to fix or repave State roads and highways. NMDOT has confirmed that a paving project on Maloney is scheduled for repaving sometime in the next few months. For your convenience, the appropriate NMDOT District has been notified. However, if you would like to speak with them directly, you may contact the NMDOT District 6- Gallup Patrol Supervisor Stephen Martinez at (505)863-5257 or (505)240-1852.
