It seems like this can dish distribution box for dog bags has been empty for a few weeks and has been empty for a lot of August. As we know, the distribution of these bags helps enforcement of the pick up after your dog law I think it is a lovely thing for the city of Newport to do. I am hopeful that it will go on through the winter. Full-time people are still here and they appreciate the free bags

The retired part time employee who has been filling the dispensers for a number of years had health issues preventing him from keeping them stocked. He has resigned and the city is in the process of filling the part time position which should prevent future issues.
All dispensers were filled today by full time city staff.
